Our Sleep Medicine Facilities

Convenient, Comprehensive Sleep Care in Western Massachusetts

If you or a loved one is having trouble sleeping, you deserve expert care in a setting that’s close to home. The sleep professionals at Baystate Health’s Neurodiagnostics and Sleep Center see adult and pediatric patients at five locations throughout western Massachusetts:

Virtual new and follow-up appointment visits are also available by video from the comfort of your home.

Our sleep medicine program is one of the largest on the East Coast. Each of our facilities is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and The Joint Commission. These accreditations ensure we provide the highest-quality sleep medicine care possible to our patients. Many insurance programs require their members to seek sleep care from an accredited program such as ours as part of their coverage.

These studies are offered at our Springfield and Greenfield locations.

Our Sleep Amenities

Sleep studies often play a key role in diagnosing sleep conditions and creating a personalized treatment plan for your condition. No matter which of our sleep facilities you’re staying at for your sleep study, we’ll make sure you feel comfortable and safe so you can rest.

We’ve designed our sleep rooms to exacting standards in order to provide the comfort and control you need for a successful sleep study. Our sleep rooms include:

  • An adjustable bed
  • Adjustable lighting
  • Enhanced construction to reduce outside noise and light
  • Flatscreen TVs
  • Fully controllable heating and air conditioning
  • Private bathroom and shower (in most rooms)
  • Specialized ventilation to eliminate airborne particles
  • WiFi

We encourage you to bring your own pillow and any other items you need from home in order to get a good night’s sleep.

Our sleep team can accommodate concerns or special needs such as interpreter services, extra-large beds or sleep rooms for those with disabilities. A sleep technologist monitors patients throughout the night, but please let us know if you or your loved one need specialized care at night. In that case, a family member or home health aid will need to stay with you during the study.

In the rare event that a patient has a medical emergency during a sleep study, we have all the specialized equipment and resources we need to provide help right away.

Because we’re the only program in our region to offer pediatric sleep medicine, our sleep facilities also cater to the needs of children and infants of all ages. You can bring your child’s favorite toys, blankets, electronics and other items for their sleep study. An adult must accompany all children under 18 years old, which includes sleeping in the room with the child.
