Education at Baystate Medical Education We are the regional campus of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. We offer: 10 ACGME-accredited residencies (2016 Match results now available!) 20+ fellowships 50 4th-year electives for medical students Population-based Urban and Rural Community Health (PURCH) Track (a curriculum pathway of the University of Massachusetts Medical School) Continuing Education We are a nationally accredited provider of continuing education for health care professionals. In addition to a wide range of live and internet presentations, we offer ongoing certification courses in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support/CPR (BLS/CPR), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and more. View upcoming courses Nursing Education We offer clinical practicums for baccalaureate, masters, or doctoral-level nursing students at affiliated schools of nursing. The Nurse Residency Program offers 2 tracks: AD RNs enrolled in a BSN program and one for new BSN graduates. Advanced Practitioners Our Advanced Practitioners programs provide clinical rotations for Advanced Practice students. We have 2 post-graduate programs: Physician Assistant Residency in Emergency Medicine and Midwifery Education Program. Pharmacy Through our affiliation with the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science, we offer two Pharmacy residencies: PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Allied Health and Professional Programs Baystate's educational partnerships allow us to offer allied health programs such as: emergency medical technician (EMT) pharmacy technician surgical technologist College Students Our Summer Student Scholars program mentors local junior and senior college undergraduates in conducting research projects. High School Students The Baystate-Springfield Educational Program Partnership offers a variety of hospital-based learning experiences for students attending Springfield high schools. Community Education Mini-Medical School helps members of our community make more informed decisions about all aspects of their health care.
