The Wheeling for Healing Ride, Walk, Run was held Sunday, August 15, at the former Wedgwood Gardens property on Kimball Road in Greenfield, and raised $37,464 to support cancer care and services in Franklin County.

There were more than 100 participants who showed up bright and early on Sunday morning. Their riding, walking, and running were for a great cause. Wheeling for Healing supports cancer care and services at Baystate Franklin Medical Center. From state-of-the-art equipment such as new infusion chairs and exam tables to ensure patient comfort to supporting improvements for a better healing environment through programs such as art therapy and yoga, Wheeling for Healing helps ensure that the best care possible is available to Baystate Franklin Medical Center cancer patients.

The event started in 2008 and has raised more than $499,000 over the past 14 years. Organizers and participants are already looking forward to next year, when the event celebrates its 15th anniversary.
