Pediatric Hospitalists - Doctors On-Site 24/7
Pediatric hospitalists are the cornerstone of our family-centered care. Hospitalists are doctors who care for patients while they’re in the hospital. These specialists are on duty in the Infants & Children’s Unit and Adolescent & Young Adult Unit at all times, coordinating and supervising your child’s care. Just like your pediatrician coordinates all of your child’s care outside the hospital, hospitalists coordinate your child’s care while he or she is in the hospital. They order and review test results, consult with specialists as needed, communicate with your pediatrician, and answer any questions you and your child have.
Our pediatric hospitalists care for infants, children, and adolescents with conditions that require a hospital stay such as:
- Sudden or long-term illnesses
- Surgery recovery
- Respiratory illnesses
