Baystate CEO Issues Statement Regarding Shift in Federal Immigration Policy

January 30, 2017
Baystate Medical Center

Dr. Mark A. Keroack, president and CEO of Baystate Health, issued the following statement in regards to the recent shift in federal immigration policy:

Baystate Health was built on the principles of integrity and respect. We welcome people of all races, religions, ethnicities and backgrounds. We are a caring organization driven by our mission of improving the health of all people in the communities we serve. Many of the Baystate Health team members who provide lifesaving care here every day came from other countries to serve our patients and our communities--including some of the nations named in the recent federal travel restrictions. We appreciate them as essential supporters of our mission and they are valued members of our community. We are actively reviewing the impact of federal immigration policy shifts on members of our teams and will do all we can to assist and support team members impacted by the changes.
