How to Apply

For the 2026-2027 fellowship application year, the UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship is accepting applications through ERAS. All candidates must participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

Application Requirements

All applicants must fulfill our Resident & Fellow Appointment Requirements.

In addition:

  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • ERAS application form
  • USMLE or COMLEX 1, 2, and 3, passing on first attempt
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Deans’ letter (MSPE)
  • Medical school transcript
  • Personal statement
  • Letter of recommendation from your Program Director
  • Two additional letters of recommendation (if you are not currently in a training programs, one of the letters should be from your current position)
  • Photo
  • ECFMG Certification, if an international medical graduate
  • Fellows will be required to obtain a full medical license from the Board of Registration in Medicine of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Institutional Policy on Visa Status

If you are a foreign national, you must enter the United States on an appropriate visa and maintain appropriate visa status throughout your training.

We sponsor residents and fellows on J-1 visas through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Read our Resident Visas Policy.

Interviews

Consistent with recommendations from the AAMC and the ACGME, UMass Chan-Baystate GME programs will conduct interviews virtually for all applicants.
