Corina N. Schoen, MD 
Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Schoen has been on faculty at UMass Chan-Baystate since 2016, joining after completing fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Her research interests include labor induction, preterm birth prevention, and preeclampsia, and enjoys sharing opportunities for learning and growth through research with residents and fellows. She currently acts as the Director of Resident Research, mentoring residents and junior attendings so that they may accomplish their research goals. Clinically, Dr. Schoen practices full scope MFM care, encompassing complex obstetric care and fetal diagnosis. Bedside teaching is one of her favorite things about being faculty, and she enjoys teaching all levels of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, nurses, and of course, patients.

Kathryn Delaney, MD
Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Delaney joined Baystate after completing fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. Her interests include the intersection of ethics and obstetrics, as well as qualitative research; she has a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation and a Master of Arts in Bioethics and Medical Humanities. Past projects have included work on ethical frameworks in periviability counseling and birth trauma after cesarean delivery.  She has served on hospital ethics committees in residency, fellowship, and now at Baystate; she enjoys teaching learners at all levels about obstetrics, medical ethics, and narrative medicine.

Anar Gojayev, MD
Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Anar Gojayev is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist who joined Baystate in 2024 after completing fellowship at Albany Medical Center. His clinical interests include the management of fetal growth restriction, congenital anomalies, multiple gestations, and maternal medical conditions complicating pregnancy, such as hypertensive disorders, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases. He has a particular focus on prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and selective fetal reduction.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Gojayev is passionate about global health and has worked in Africa to expand access to maternal care and enhance provider training. His international work reflects his dedication to improving obstetric care in resource-limited settings. He is also actively involved in research and medical education, mentoring residents and fellows in the field of maternal-fetal medicine.

Megan Weatherborn, MD
Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Weatherborn joined UMass Chan-Baystate as faculty in 2020 after completing fellowship at MetroHealth and residency and the University of Massachusetts. She practices full scope MFM care, and is passionate about providing excellent quality care to an underserved population. Dr. Weatherborn’s areas of interest is in education, with active teaching to students, residents, fellows and sonographers. She is actively involved in the Education Committee, curriculum development, and the Clinical Competency Committee for the OB/GYN program. She has received multiple awards for teaching excellence and has been awarded faculty educator of the year by resident staff for her outstanding contributions to their education.
