Convenient Care: A Different Kind of Urgent Care
If you don’t have a primary care provider, or your condition can’t wait for a regular primary care appointment, Convenient Care offers same-day, walk-in urgent care and telehealth services with extended hours to fit with your schedule. For 9 am -10 am time slots on Monday - Friday, Baystate Convenient Care - Palmer patients can schedule in-person visits through Direct Book.
What Kinds of Conditions are Right for Urgent Care?
Convenient care and urgent care clinics provide treatment for common illnesses and injuries that don’t require a visit to the emergency room, including:

Colds, coughs, flu, fever, sore throat and seasonal allergies (handled through telehealth, not walk-in)
- Upper respiratory problems/asthma
- Minor cuts or burns
- Rash, skin, and eye infections
- Urinary tract infections (pain or burning when urinating)
- Earaches
- Migraine headaches
- Strains, sprains, and sports injuries
- Stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting
- Animal bites, if not severe

Quaboag Connector Convenient Care Van
Patients in the Palmer area can now request a ride to convenient care and primary care locations. The Convenient Care Van provides non-emergency medical transportation to and from medical appointments at Baystate Wing Hospital facilities.
