71% Are Entering Primary Care Training

The Population-based Urban and Rural Community Health track at UMass Chan Medical School - Baystate celebrated Residency Match Day on March 17, 2023 with all 24 graduating PURCH students successfully matching to a categorical residency program.

17 of the 24 are entering primary care, which is experiencing a nationwide shortage of physicians. Six remain in Massachusetts for residency training.
