Pediatrics Residency Conferences

There are four major conferences which all residents are required to attend.

• Grand Rounds which are weekly, one-hour lectures on diverse subjects by both in-house and visiting speakers.
• Thursday Educational Conferences are held from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. (Academic Half-Day)
• Hot Topics or Journal Club is held September through May. Two residents with the support of faculty are responsible for conducting an in depth analysis of papers that they choose. This is an opportunity to learn and practice evidence based medicine and how to critically review the literature.
• Morning Report is held three times a week at 7:30 am on the inpatient unit with live broadcast to High Street Health Center.
