Building Your Toolbox for Academic Advancement

"Building Your Toolbox for Academic Advancement" is open to all faculty (and potential faculty). Sessions will take place via WebEx from 12:15 to 1:15pm on the following dates:

    • Topic: Networking in Your Professional Societies: A Tool for Academic Advancement
    • Speakers: Raquel Belforti, DO, MS, Associate Professor of Medicine at UMass Chan-Baystate and Amy Oliveira, MD, Associate Professor of Radiology at UMass Chan-Baystate
  • Thursday, May 19th, 2022
    • Topic: Balancing Clinical and Academic Responsibilities: Time Management for Academic Advancement
    • Speaker: Christopher Mudge, MD, Assistant Professor of Radiology at UMass Chan-Baystate

CV Workshops

Departments and divisions are invited to schedule CV workshops to help faculty with strategies to enhance faculty CVs. Please contact Melissa Martini, AA, Faculty Development Coordinator, Office of Faculty Affairs, at Melissa.Martini@baystatehealth.org, to schedule.

Promotion Accountability Groups

Promotion Accountability Groups are a four-session, longitudinal faculty development program for Associate Professors seeking advancement to the rank of Professor. Sessions are offered quarterly and focus on CV preparation and guidance as well as review of promotion metrics. Registration for the current program is now closed. Virtual Office Hours

Our virtual office hours are monthly, remote "drop-in" sessions with discussions about academic advancement that are driven by participant interest. Attendees should come prepared with specific questions related to the appointment and promotion process that can be shared with the group. Sessions are 30 minutes long.
