Get the Experience You Need
During your work-learning experience, you will be guided, supervised and evaluated while gaining practical skills.
What are Clinicals?
Clinical experiences or rotations train professionals that treat patients or provide direct patient care.
Clinicals take place in a variety of settings across the health care continuum and are:
- supervised by preceptors (experienced practitioners and educators)
- foster students’ critical thinking and clinical skills,
- allow students to put the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom into practice.
What are Internships?
Internships train professionals in non-clinical roles—those who do not provide any type of medical treatment or testing.
- completed as part of a college course
- supervised by a college instructor/faculty member
- require students to practice skills or complete projects related to the students' course of study
