Todd Johnson, MD

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine

I was born and raised in Belleville, IL just across the Mississippi river from St. Louis, where I attended St. Louis University, graduating in 2019 with degrees in biology and mathematics. It was during my time in the city that I discovered my passion for helping others, which led me to pursuing a career in family medicine. I studied at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where I enjoyed learning to care for rural and underserved communities. I’m thrilled to continue my training in Greenfield where I’ll be closer to my partner, Laura, who’s studying law in Boston. Outside of medicine, I love nature and animals and am looking forward to exploring the trails around Western Massachusetts. Also, as a huge sports fan coming from St. Louis, I’m excited to be surrounded by the historic sports culture of New England.

St. George's University School of Medicine

I grew up in Ashland, Massachusetts and completed my undergraduate degree at Brandeis University in Waltham before moving to the beautiful island of Grenada for medical school. In my free time I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, and camping. Over the past few years, I have also gotten really into board games, my favorites being Gloomhaven and Terra Mystica. I am passionate about combining medicine and lifestyle modifications to help people live their healthiest and most fulfilling lives. I am over the moon at the opportunity to continue my training in my home state, close to my loved ones in the gorgeous backdrop of Western Massachusetts.

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine

My name is Sean Pazurchek, and I am ecstatic to be joining the Greenfield Family Medicine residency in June 2023. I am originally from Wrentham, MA and received my bachelor's in biochemistry and molecular biology from Brown University. After working as a medical assistant for two years, I pursued my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master's of Public Health at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, Sarah, and Cavapoo therapy dog, Boulder. You will likely find me exploring new places, checking out local microbreweries and craft beers, reading a good book, or perhaps baking desserts in the kitchen. I am extremely grateful to be joining this residency and look forward to meeting you!

UMass Chan Medical School

Originally from Canton, MA, I graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA and worked as a research assistant in Boston before attending medical school at UMass Chan. My interest in family medicine began while working for a study called Project Viva, which focused on the longitudinal health of mothers and their children. It was the ability to work with a family unit and witness the long-term relationship with the study that made me interested in the specialty. My other medical interests include geriatric medicine, palliative care, and medical ethics. Outside of medicine, I love to hike, cook new recipes using local ingredients, collect vinyl records, and attend music festivals, especially the Newport Folk Festival. I am thrilled to relocate to Greenfield and work with the community to provide effective and humanistic primary care.

Dr Daniel Albrecht

Daniel Albrecht MD

Drexel University College of Medicine

I was born in Holyoke MA and graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BS in Chemistry. I worked as an EMT in Springfield, Northampton and Chicopee where I found how much I enjoyed working with patients. I decided to pursue a career in Medicine and was accepted at Drexel's College of Medicine in Philadelphia. I am eager to come back home, closer to my family and work in the communities I am most familiar. I have a particular passion for issues around depression and anxiety, substance use, women's health and lifestyle interventions for chronic health problems. I chose to pursue family medicine because I want to have a comprehensive view of care and the ability to form long-lasting partnerships with my patients.

Dr Rachel Anderson

Rachel Anderson MD

UMass T.H. Chan School of Medicine

Born and raised in Norton, MA, I was thrilled to return home to attend medical school at UMass Chan after spending my undergraduate years at theUniversity of Alabama. During medical school, I met my fiancé (and co-resident!), John, and adopted our adorable cat, Moe. We love being outdoors and spend most our free time camping, birding, hiking, and checking out local breweries. I also love crafts of all kinds, cooking food for nearly any occasion, and watching as much football as I possibly can (Roll Tide and Go Pats!). Over the past 4 years, I have been a passionate advocate for equitable access to cervical cancer prevention and for improved care for human trafficking survivors. I am thrilled to be continuing my training in the beautiful Pioneer Valley and getting to know and provide care for the local community.

Dr John Romano

John Romano MD

UMass T.H. Chan School of Medicine

I graduated from UMass Chan Medical School in 2022 and was lucky enough to meet my fiancé and fellow member of the Greenfield Family Medicine Residency inaugural class—Rachel Anderson—while there! In medical school, I became deeply invested in our local free clinics by helping them fundraise and transition from paper records to an electronic medical record. Music is another passion of mine, and I was fortunate to find a band to play with called Newport Ave in which I played drums and saxophone. I also became an avid birder during 4th year—Rachel and I have logged over 130 species so far on our life list! We keep another life list for the breweries we’ve visited together, though not quite as long. I look forward to settling into Greenfield with Rachel and becoming community-focused family medicine physicians together!
