Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship

Our mission at the Baystate Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) fellowship program is to train and support academic leaders in the field of PHM who exemplify compassionate and collaborative care to hospitalized children and families and demonstrate ongoing commitment to medical education, advocacy, research, patient safety, and quality improvement.

Be an Active Member of Our Hospital Medicine Division

Our program offers a wealth of opportunities for candidates interested in academic careers in PHM. Our faculty encourages fellows to be active participants in our hospital medicine division and we are dedicated to your success!

Fellows will join the Pediatrics family at Baystate working alongside our exceptional Pediatrics and Med-Peds residents in a teaching-focused environment. We serve patients from a wide range of backgrounds and foster a supportive community. Trainees will encounter a broad range of everyday “bread and butter” diagnoses mixed with complex cases requiring the collaboration of multiple subspecialists.

Prepare for the Next Step in Your Career

At Baystate you will care for children of all ages—from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds and with a wide range of clinical presentations. Our program will prepare you both clinically and academically for future success!

The Benefits of Training at Baystate

  • We are a well-established pediatrics hospital medicine program with a large group of experienced clinicians. Many of us have our own “niches” and career interests and can effectively mentor trainees to take the steps needed to carve out their own career that addresses their professional interests and goals.
  • Dedicated hospital leadership with extensive focus on quality and patient safety at an institutional level
  • We provide a flexible individualized curriculum to help meet the needs and interests of our fellows. We also have multiple Med-Peds trained hospitalists and an affiliation with an adult hospital medicine fellowship providing great opportunities for candidates with combined training!
