UMass School of Public HealthThe School of Public Health and Health Sciences is a national leader in finding ways to maximize public health and quality of life. The school addresses complex health issues by integrating traditional core areas of public health with related health science disciplines, fostering a unique environment in which transdisciplinary research collaborations can flourish. Their award-winning faculty focus on many pressing public health problems as well as crosscutting issues such as obesity and diabetes prevention, women’s health, global health, aging and healthy living, and autism spectrum disorders.

Meyers Primary Care Institute

Meyers Primary Care InstituteThe Meyers Primary Care Institute (MPCI) was established in 1996, as a joint endeavor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Reliant Medical Group (previously Fallon Clinic), and Fallon Community Health Plan. The MPCI is committed to research across the lifespan, from childhood to advanced age. They conduct population-based research to inform policy and practice, promoting evidence-based care for the benefit of the community.

The Center for Research on Families, UMass Amherst

Center for Research on FamiliesThe Center for Research on Families (CRF) is an endowed interdisciplinary research center in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and College of Natural Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. CRF contributes to the university’s mission by increasing research on family issues; building a multidisciplinary community of researchers who are studying issues of relevance to families; connecting national and internationally prominent family researchers with UMass faculty and students; providing mentoring to increase successful funding and management of external grant awards; providing advanced data analytic methods for training and consultation; and disseminating family research findings to scholars, families, practitioners, and policy-makers.

Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts

Public Health Institute Western MassachusettsPublic Health Institute of Western Massachusetts (PHIWM) builds measurably healthier communities with equitable opportunities and resources for all through civic leadership, collaborative partnerships and policy advocacy. PHIWM provides skills, expertise and experience to create successful public health campaigns and sustainable system changes to improve health and well-being in Western MA. Through partnerships, they build on community assets and build community capacity to positively impact social determinants of health.

Hospital Medicine Reengineering Network

The Hospital Medicine Reengineering Network (HOMERuN) was established in 2011 to advance the field of Hospital Medicine by facilitating and conducting collaborative, rigorous, inter-professional, multi-site, research studies which improve outcomes of patients with acute illnesses.
