For Researchers

Research First Steps

A research project involves many steps. We're here to help researchers navigate the complexity.

Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The HRPP and IRB will help you navigate the regulations and compliance for human subjects protection and give you the tools to help you get started.

Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA)

SPA can help you find funding for your research and review your proposal submissions.

Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at the Baystate Research Facility (BRF)

The IACUC and the BRF oversees and evaluates all animal care and use. The IACUC is responsible for review and approval of all animal use protocols. The BRF has ample lab space and equipment available if you are interested in engaging in bench research.

Unaffiliated Investigators and Associates in Research

Any investigator or student who wishes to be a part of a research study at Baystate Health must go through the unaffiliated investigator and associate in research process. For more information see our unaffiliated investigator and associate in research documents here
