When it comes to cancer, you want answers. The first step to your treatment and recovery is correct diagnosis. The Baystate Regional Cancer Program has the most advanced technology available to provide you fast and accurate screening and diagnosis of all types of cancer.

Baystate Health’s world-class Department of Pathology includes more than 500 full-time staff, including medical technologists, medical laboratory technicians, and assistants.
In addition, we have more than 20 staff pathologists, all certified by the American Board of Pathology, and many who also have subspecialty certification.
These figures make us one of the largest practices in New England, and our reference laboratory one of the largest hospital-based reference labs in the country. This ensures that even behind the scenes, you have nationally recognized experts contributing to your diagnosis and treatment plan.
Baystate Health’s Department of Radiology also includes a team of board certified physician experts, many of whom also have subspecialty certifications.
