Proyecto Mama, Randomized Lifestyle Intervention in Overweight Pregnant Hispanic Women
This is a research study conducted by UMass Amherst and Baystate Medical Center on ways to delay or prevent type two diabetes.
Many different behaviors may help to reduce risk of type two diabetes. This study compares general health and wellness to nutritional and physical activity lifestyle changes.

If you are less than 16 weeks pregnant, between 16 and 45 years old and your BMI (body mass index) is greater than 25, you may be eligible for this study.
Your participation will last for one year postpartum.
