We are testing if a Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Team (START) can help people with problems related to opioid use start treatment during or after they are in the hospital.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patient must be in an inpatient unit
  • Over the age of 18
  • Must be OUD or have a probable OUD diagnosis of Street Opioids or Pain Meds
  • Speak English or Spanish as a primary language
  • Able to provide consent

Exclusion Criteria

  • Currently receiving an FDA approved medication for OUD
  • Life expectancy is lesser than 6 months
