New & Enhanced Programs

Well-being Essentials Rewards – The Well-being Essentials Rewards program is designed to motivate you to explore and identify areas you want to work on,  in order to set yourself on a path to your best life. Beginning January 1, 2024, you will be eligible to participate in monthly challenges, with monthly payouts, to continuously remind and reward you for the work you put into your self-care and overall well-being. Learn more.  

Wellness Reimbursement - Effective January 1, 2024, spouses and dependents enrolled on your medical plan will also be eligible for reimbursement! Individual plan members can receive up to $200 per calendar year and family plan members can receive up to $400 total, per calendar year ($200 per individual on plan). Plus, we’ve added even more ways to get reimbursed, including athletic event registration fees, bike shares, and school/town sport fees. Login to your HNE portal at my.healthnewengland.org and select Forms.

Caring for Colleagues - This program offers emergency assistance to employees who have experienced a sudden loss of income, family crisis, or other unforeseen circumstance. The program will re-launch on January 1, 2024, and is funded by donations made by Baystate Health, its employees, and the community. Up to $1,200 per calendar year is available to employees in need.  To make a donation, click here and select "Caring for Colleagues" under Gift Designation. Back-up Care Reimbursement Program - Baystate Health recognizes the challenges our working parents face when their regular childcare arrangement falls through (due to ill caregiver or child, weather-related closures, etc.). Baystate Health now provides $100 reimbursement per day, up to 5 days per year, for back-up care arranged on your own. Employees are responsible for selecting an alternative caregiver (neighbor, family, friend, etc), the services provided, and any additional costs for care arranged.  Download the reimbursement form. 

Educational Assistance - Receive up to $5,250 (which is the maximum allowed by the IRS) reimbursement for expenses incurred as part of an approved course of study at an accredited college, university, or technical school. . For more information, review the Human Resource Policy BH-HR-705.

The MacDuffie School – Student Discount T– The MacDuffie School, a preparatory school located in Granby, MA is offering Baystate families an automatic 25% off tuition, with up to 90% tuition discount based on financial need. Daily bus transportation between West Springfield and the Granby campus, with a stop in Holyoke is available with enrollment.  This opportunity is available to all employees and their children in grades 6-12.  Learn more at macduffie.org/baystate-inquiry
