Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Research

Pulmonary and Critical Care Division faculty are active clinical researchers—multiple investigators receive NIH support.

The division participates in many clinical trials, including sepsis, delirium, and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) through the PETAL Network

Faculty have recently published research in outcome assessment, severity scoring, novel therapeutics for shock and ARDS, value-based care, cost analysis, ethics, sedatives and neuromuscular blocking agents.

Active research programs in many areas of pulmonary disease and critical care medicine, including:
