Background and Clinical Focus

About This Provider:

You should ask your provider about a breast cancer risk assessment when you turn 40, and you should begin having regular mammograms as determined by you and your referring provider after this discussion.

Once you start having mammograms, you should schedule one every one to two years. Depending on your family or personal history with breast cancer or other cancers, your doctor may recommend that you start having regular mammograms earlier.

Don’t wait until it’s too late to get a mammogram — it can save your life. Talk to your doctor about your breast cancer risk, or schedule a mammogram today.
