Applying to the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program

Interested physicians who have completed the necessary training to become ABIM board-eligible in Internal Medicine are encouraged to apply to Baystate's Cardiovascular Fellowship.

Application Process

Baystate's Cardiovascular Fellowship participates in the ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). All applicants must apply online through ERAS. For the upcoming fellowship application cycle, our program will use program signaling. While we will accept all applications, the applications where we are signaled will be weighted heavily.

Applicants must submit:

  • ERAS application
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Medical School Transcripts
  • Personal Statement
  • Photograph
  • Letter of recommendation from your Program Director
  • Two additional letters of recommendation (if you are not currently in a training program, one of the letters should be from your current position)
  • USMLE /COMLEX scores
  • ECFMG certificate

Applicant Requirements

All applicants must fulfill our Resident & Fellow Appointment Requirements.

In addition, prior to matriculation to Cardiovascular Fellowship training at Baystate Medical Center, all incoming fellows are required to:

  • Complete an ACGME-accredited program in Internal Medicine in the United States
  • Passed the USMLE Step 3 or COMLEX-USA Level 3 examination

Institutional Policy on Visa Status

If you are a foreign national, you must enter the United States on an appropriate visa and maintain appropriate visa status throughout your training.

We sponsor residents and fellows on J-1 visas through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Read our Resident Visas Policy.

Interviews will be conducted virtually using one of the chosen platforms—Zoom, Webex or Thalamus.
