PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Curriculum
The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program will adapt to the needs of the individual resident and will customize the training program for the resident based upon assessment of the resident’s knowledge, skills, attitudes, abilities, and interests at program orientation and at each of the first three quarterly evaluations. Nevertheless, the program will provide a structured experience to create the basic foundation for quality critical care pharmacy practice. The rotation structure is as follows:

Longitudinal Learning Experiences
PGY2 Inpatient Pharmacy Services Learning Experience (12-month duration)
- Staff every 3rd weekend
- Drug information and non-formulary pager approximately 9 weeks per year
- Preceptor: Taylor Hodle, PharmD, BCCCP, Bethany Carrington, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP
Case Presentation and Journal Club (12-month duration)
- Complete one each per quarter
- Preceptor: Taylor Hodle, PharmD, BCCCP
Pharmacy and Therapeutics Contributions (3-month duration)
- Complete one drug monograph or policy update and one medication use evaluation
- Preceptor: Adam Pesaturo, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP
Research or Quality Improvement (12-month duration)
- Anticipated 1 to 2 hours per week on average for project related activities
- 18 project days are allotted for use throughout the residency year
- Preceptor is project dependent
