Applying to the Radiology Residency
Application Process
The Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate participates in the ERAS Program for the residency application process. All applications are reviewed holistically. To obtain information about an application for our Radiology Residency Program, visit the ERAS website.
- Applications received by mail will not be accepted.
- The deadline for the receipt of the ERAS application is November 15th.
- Upon receipt of the application, it will be reviewed and an invitation for an interview will be extended by e-mail to qualified applicants.
Application Requirements
All applicants must fulfill our Resident & Fellow Appointment Requirements.
In addition, you'll need:
- Completed Common ERAS Application Form
- Curriculum Vitae
- Dean's Letter
- Transcript
- Personal Statement
- Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
- USMLE Step I and II
- Photo (optional but it is great to link a face with the name
Institutional Policy on Visa Status
If you are a foreign national, you must enter the United States on an appropriate visa and maintain appropriate visa status throughout your training.
We sponsor residents and fellows on J-1 visas through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Read our Resident Visas Policy.
Interviews
Virtual Interviewing
Consistent with recommendations from the AAMC and the ACGME, UMass Chan-Baystate GME programs will conduct interviews virtually for all applicants.
