Our Innovations

At Baystate, we always seek to improve the standard of care to treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

We use telespeech and teleswallowing technology: sophisticated videoconferencing equipment allows Baystate experts to work with clinicians in other facilities to evaluate patients’ speech and swallowing abilities.

Our team members then provide diet recommendations and exercise techniques. We work with each patient to develop a plan of care for the safest, least restrictive diet to follow.

Our Team

Specially trained speech-language pathologists at Baystate Rehabilitation Care hold master’s degrees as well as Certificates of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. They also hold licenses from the commonwealth of Massachusetts. A bilingual (English/Spanish) speech-language pathologist is part of our team.
