Healthier Tomorrows: The Campaign for Baystate Health will transform and cement excellent, accessible healthcare in our community for generations to come—and it will take everyone in our community, together, to make this vision a reality.

The importance of Baystate Health’s role in the region has never been more clear than during the height of COVID-19. During this critical time our strengths shined as we led our community through uncharted territory.

But the pandemic also revealed three critical areas where we can serve our community better: expanding our physical capacity and updating our spaces; investing in programs that align with community needs; and focusing on financial resiliency so that the system can be around for the long haul.

The campaign's goal of $70 million will fund these three areas and will shape healthcare In our dynamic region far Into the future.

Capital Projects

To meet our community’s growing medical needs, we are increasing and enhancing our physical space at multiple Baystate Health locations. These efforts will help us expand access to care, enhance the quality of care provided to residents, and improve patients’ experiences.

Our priority projects include:

• Operating and Interventional Procedural Rooms at Baystate Medical Center
• Center for Nursing Excellence and Innovation at Baystate Medical Center
• Bolduc Family Courtyard to provide patients, families, and team members with an outdoor space for respite and relaxation when they’re at Baystate Medical Center

Programmatic Investments

Expanding our healthcare options and our care delivery methods will allow us to improve outcomes and experiences for our patients, as well as access to care throughout western Massachusetts.

Our priority projects include:

• Family Medicine Residency Program at Baystate Franklin Medical Center
• Mobile Healthcare Opportunities
• Supporting care, research, and education in our clinical areas, including behavioral health services, cancer care, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, geriatrics, heart & vascular care, home health & hospice, neurology, OB/GYN, pediatrics, radiology, surgery, and more
• Growing the Baystate Health Fund to support the most critical needs of the health system

Growing the Endowment

Baystate Health Foundation’s endowment is critical to ensuring that the health system has the resources to remain a community-responsive organization prepared to handle unforeseen healthcare crises and take on opportunities to enhance local healthcare.

Our priority projects include:

• Growing our endowment
• Creating new named endowed clinical chairs
