Baystate Health offers comprehensive mental health, behavioral medicine, and employee assistance programs that are responsive to today's changing healthcare system. 

Our network has been developed to provide service to patients in Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, and western Worcester Counties. This system is supported by licensed clinicians year-round, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We are committed to the philosophy that the needs of the patient are best served by the thoughtful integration of specialized services delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals. A major strength of our program is our specialty team focus in both inpatient and outpatient programs to address specific patient needs in a manner that quickly brings the greatest expertise to individual patient care.

Our Psychiatry Department offers a Psychiatry Residency program as well as 4th year electives for medical students.

Outpatient Services

We care for about 8,500 patients a year through our outpatient services and 1,600 patients a year through our partial hospitalization program. Plus, the Griswold Center at Baystate Wing Hospital has a robust outpatient psychiatry and counseling service that includes: 

• Yoga group therapy for patients with PTSD 
• Clinical hypnosis 
• Narrative therapy 
• Motivational Enhancement Therapy 
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy 
• Social Skills group for children 
• Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (patients with treatment resistant depression)
