Wesson Women & Infants’ Unit

Visitor Policy

You won't give birth
alone at BMC.

The Wesson Women & Infants' Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield is devoted exclusively to women's health needs, family-centered childbirth, and newborn care. We’ll partner with you to ensure you receive the care you need and the experience you want.

COMPREHENSIVE, COMPASSIONATE FOR WOMEN & BABIES

We offer a safe, nurturing environment, backed by the most up-to-date technology and medical advances—including the region's only neonatal intensive care unit and high-risk perinatal referral center.

We also host a variety of childbirth and parent education classes, as well as parent groups and breastfeeding support. Our Breastfeeding Support Program can provide you with breast pumps, specialty breastfeeding products, and expert consultations.
