The Wesson Women & Infants' Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield is devoted exclusively to women's health needs, family-centered childbirth, and newborn care. We’ll partner with you to ensure you receive the care you need and the experience you want.

We offer a safe, nurturing environment, backed by the most up-to-date technology and medical advances—including the region's only neonatal intensive care unit and high-risk perinatal referral center.
We also host a variety of childbirth and parent education classes , as well as parent groups and breastfeeding support . Our Breastfeeding Support Program can provide you with breast pumps, specialty breastfeeding products, and expert consultations.
LABOR & DELIVERY SERVICES
Our team of registered nurses, certified nurse-midwives , and board-certified obstetricians will support you throughout your birthing experience.

CESAREAN AND HIGH-RISK PREGNANCY CARE
The Wesson Women & Infants' Unit also cares for women who require a planned or emergency Cesarean section (C-section) delivery.
Our surgeons are part of Baystate's team of highly skilled physicians, many of whom are recognized nationally for their expertise in patient care, clinical research, and medical education.
