"When I went to Baystate Franklin, not feeling well, I was scared to death. I'd always been active, and yet here I was practically unable to move without huffing and puffing,” says Adelia Bardwell of Whately.
“They told me I had congestive heart failure, but that it could be managed with diet changes and Baystate’s cardiac rehabilitation program.”
Bardwell shares her story of treatment at Baystate, saying, “I was in the right place, at the right time. My cardiologist, Dr. Timothy Egan, was wonderful. He answered every question I had. I'd give him a '10' all the way across the board.”
Now, she says, “My heart doesn't give me any problems at all. And it doesn't keep me from all the things I like to do, like gardening. I'm so thankful to Dr. Egan and everyone else at his office at Baystate Heart & Vascular in Greenfield. They are all so wonderful!"
