Baystate Medical Center is Providing Free COVID-19 Testing 

In an effort to offer additional COVID-19 testing where it is needed in the community, Baystate Health is collaborating with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the City of Springfield, and the Springfield Housing Authority to expand COVID-19 testing in the region via the Commonwealth’s Stop the Spread program.

These testing sites are open to all Massachusetts residents. Up to 150 appointments will be scheduled per site per day.

Testing Dates, Hours and Locations

298 Carew Street, Springfield (10/14 – 10/29)

You must schedule an appointment to be tested by calling 413-794-0012 between 5 – 8 pm, Monday through Friday.

Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 10/14 – 10/29
1 – 4 pm

3 Events at Springfield Housing Authority Locations

We will accept up to 150 people each day (for each event). Walk-ups are welcome. Please call to register at specific numbers noted below for each site.

Free Testing and Free Masks

The testing is offered at no cost and no physician referral is needed to be tested. Results will be available within 48 hours.

Free masks, a packet of 10 per family, will be handed out.

Stop the Spread

These testing events are part of the state’s Stop the Spread program, where the Commonwealth is launching strategic testing in communities across Massachusetts that have continued to see a higher number of residents testing positive for COVID-19.
