…a physician that really ‘walks the walk’…

“Dr. Muñoz has served as a brilliant example of patient centered care and continuously models a sustainable, gracious practice of medicine where patient's and trainees feel safe and heard and cared for. She exudes kindness, empathy and warmth in her interactions with staff, learners and patients. She is a physician that really ‘walks the walk’ and lives out the oaths that so many of us have attested to at the beginning of our training.
—Amanda Whitehouse, UMMS student, PURCH Track

…she provides the highest standard of care at all times…

"In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that all the new trainees at the Med-Peds clinic are seamlessly integrated into the Med-Peds community. Her quick thinking, patient-centered approach, and sense of humor put her patients at ease, and she provides the highest standard of care at all times. Finally, her involvement with local organizations, to ensure that patients are taken care of after they leave her office, provides a model to learners on how to be an excellent community physician.”
—Laura Schwartz, UMMS student, PURCH Track

…inspires me to push my own boundaries and be the best version of myself…

"Not only is she vested deeply in the success of her residents, but she has also truly taught us that every single one of us can be a leader in our own sphere of influence. Despite being in a demanding role, she continues to be committed to medical education through her involvement with the BERST program and in her own words “Loves working with July learners and watching them grow’. She inspires me to push my own boundaries and be the best version of myself every day! “
