Baystate Medical Center nurses are going for a fourth Magnet designation - the most prestigious distinction a healthcare organization can receive for nursing excellence and quality patient outcomes given by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Baystate Medical Center earned its first Magnet designation in 2005 and would be among the less than one percent of hospitals in the U.S. to receive Magnet designation four consecutive times.
In July, Magnet surveyors will be visiting Baystate Medical Center. Patients, family members, staff, and interested parties who would like to provide comments to the Magnet Program Office are encouraged to do so. Comments can be sent via email and direct mail and must be received by the Magnet Program Office by July 1, 2020.
