MassLive:  Dr. Keroack supported the proposal for "syringe services programs" brought before the Public Health Council in favor of a needle exchange program.  Admitting it is not a cure-all to the drug crisis, these programs offer opportunities for treatment programs, supply Naxolone for overdose treatment, and in the end are cost effective by reducing transmission of blood-borne diseases.
