Dr. Emily Urquhart has joined Dr. Scott Siege, Dr. Ramune Garniene, and nurse practitioner Denise Finn Rizzo at Baystate Medical Practices - Quabbin Pediatrics (located at 83 South Street in Ware).
About Dr. Urquhart
Dr. Urquhart received her degree in medicine from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont, and served her internship and residency at the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento, California.
“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Urquhart to our pediatric practice,” said Dr. Siege. “We are excited to add her knowledge and experience to our team. She brings a passion for caring for children and a great understanding of the value of collaborative, family-centered care to our practice.”
Most recently, Dr. Urquhart, provided care at Barre Pediatrics at Central Vermont Medical Center in Barre, Vermont.
Prior to her medical training, Dr. Urquhart served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa, where she focused on improving nutrition for children and partnered with local health care workers to treat diarrheal diseases and other infectious illnesses.
“In general practice I enjoy working with children of all ages and all developmental abilities,” said Dr. Urquhart. “Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, working on our small farm, and doing CrossFit.”

Dr. Urquhart is currently accepting new patients. She joins the team at Quabbin Pediatrics providing a variety of services for infant, child, and adolescent health care, including physicals, wellness visits, vaccination,s and advice on development, nutrition, infant feeding practices, learning and behavioral issues and adolescent issues.
Office hours are scheduled Monday through Friday and Saturday mornings to accommodate the needs of working families. The practice also offers same-day "sick visits” for children.
