With the number of flu cases declining in the community, Baystate Health has lifted restrictions implemented in February in its Visitors Policy at its hospitals and outpatient centers throughout the health system, as a way to limit transmission of the flu and protect patients, guests and staff.
While Baystate Health has now returned to its normal Visitors Policy, friends and family who are ill with cold, flu, diarrheal illness or fever are reminded to call instead of visiting patients in the hospital.
