Noble Spirit Award Youth Grief Program300x300

Over 500 guests attended the 52nd Annual Baystate Noble Ball on Saturday, October 29 and danced under the disco balls at the "Sensational Seventies" themed event, held at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.

One of the evening's most poignant moments was the recognition of this year's "Baystate Noble Spirit Award" winners, Jill Adams and Carrie Walker-Ray.

Both Jill and Carrie experienced the difficulty of losing a parent during their youths. It was that loss that inspired them to choose careers as grief counselors and provide compassionate support to the children in our community.

Started as a small group in one school with just a handful of students, the Baystate Hospice Grief Group has grown to be in 20 different schools, across 3 school systems, caring for over 200 children and adolescents each year. The humbling work that Jill and Carrie do touches the lives of many and has helped strengthen our community.

View the touching, congratulatory video played at this year’s Ball and learn about the incredible work Jill and Carrie do every day with children in our community as grief counselors.
