Calling all teens and parents

April 07, 2015

A special evening designed to inspire teens to stay healthy – Baystate Mason Square Neighborhood Health Center’s 12th Annual Teen Night – is being held on Wednesday, April 8.

Teens and their parents, as well as other family members and the general public, are invited to stop by the health center, located at 11 Wilbraham Rd., from 6-8 p.m., noted Mabel Sharif, who is coordinating the event.

What to expect

Teen Night will offer teens a path to wellness through a variety of discussions about:

  • anti-bullying
  • smoking and alcohol prevention
  • nutrition and healthy eating
  • eye care
  • staying in school
  • after school programs
  • teen stress prevention
  • sexually transmitted diseases
  • teen pregnancy prevention and more.

Organizations will display and talk with teens about what services they offer teens. The Springfield Police and Fire Departments will also be in attendance.

There will also be a free raffle and refreshments.
