94.7 Radiothon is Three Days Away: Read Young Patient Eibhlinn White's Story

Just three days remain until March 5 when the 94.7 WMAS Radiothon to benefit Baystate Children’s Hospital hits the airwaves.

Among the many heartwarming and emotional stories airing during the Radiothon - broadcast from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday – will be one about Eibhlinn White.

Meet Eibhlinn White

Diagnosis: Germ cell tumor, diagnosed as a baby. Germ cells are special cells in a developing embryo. A tumor is formed when normal cells change and grow uncontrollably.

Treatment: Chemotherapy

Prognosis: Completely cancer free

Favorite activities: Cheerleading, basketball, singing

About Eibhlinn’s cancer: Eibhlinn went through a time where she struggled with being a cancer survivor, but with support from her close friends, she has been able to recognize that being different is OK.

Treated by: Dr. Satkiran Grewal, chief, Pediatric Hematology Oncology Division, and pediatric oncologist Dr. Matthew Richardson of Baystate Children’s Hospital.
