The Baystate Women in Medicine and Science (BWIMS) Professional Development Scholarship is a monetary award to help providers who identify as women to advance their academic careers and/or organizational leadership.
We are exciting to announce that in 2024 the monetary value of the scholarship increased to $2,000 and may be used to fund a variety of activities including, but not limited to, travel to present at conferences, enrollment in courses, or purchase of materials to support professional endeavors. The scholarship may also cover conference-related childcare expenses. It is, however, not intended to support professional membership or licensure fees. The $2000 scholarship may be applied retroactively or proactively for an activity within the fiscal year (October 1, 2023-September 30, 2024). Receipts are required for disbursement of the scholarship and must be submitted by September 20, 2024.
