Working directly with an attending psychiatrist, the student will function as an integral member of the treatment team on the Adult Inpatient Hospital Unit.
Objectives
The student will...
- perform the initial psychiatric evaluation on a patient.
- develop skills in individualized psychotherapy and family therapy.
- understand the use of psychopharmacologic agents.
- set individualized goals to help the student maximize his/her learning experience.
- meet regularly with the treatment team attending psychiatrist to discuss student's progression.
