Who We Are:
Baystate Pediatric Critical Care, a Baystate Children's Hospital Practice, offers wide range of diagnostic and management services for children admitted to Baystate's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Our board certified specialists, who are also on the faculty of the Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine Western Campus, provide consultation. They have access to all the facilities of Baystate Medical Center.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Baystate Children's Hospital cares for critically ill children up to 23 years of age. Baystate's PICU provides state-of-the-art monitoring and therapy with physicians in attendance 24 hours a day.
A Pediatric Intensivist supervises the care of all patients in the unit, plus pediatric, medical and surgical specialists are always available for consultation. Transport Service to and from any health care site in western New England is available 7 days a week, 24 hours day.
