Baystate Sleep Medicine – Springfield offers the latest state-of-the-art technology for polysomnography sleep studies. And with approximately 9,000 square feet and 14 testing rooms, it is the largest sleep center in western Massachusetts.
We also offer electromyography (EMG) and other neurodiagnostic and respiratory tests, such as electroencephalograms, multiple sleep latency testing, oxygen titration, and therapeutic treatments with CPAP/BIPAP and oxygen.
The expanded EMG laboratory suite accommodates electrodiagnostic evaluations of a variety of neuromuscular disorders, including complex diseases such as muscular dystrophy, myopathies, myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and other neuromuscular diseases. The EMG laboratory staff also provides needle muscle biopsies, electrodiagnostic assessment of patients with urinary and rectal incontinence, and treatment of movement disorders with botulinum toxin (Botox).
All of the Neurodiagnostics and Sleep Center's 14 rooms are designed to be comfortable and home-like. Patients can control their own sleeping environment, including lighting, temperature, and bed position; each room features a flat panel television and DVD player; and most have a private bathroom and shower with all the convenience amenities.
