Our ACGME-accredited Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism clinical fellowship at UMass Chan Medical School - Baystate is a two-year program providing comprehensive and intensive training in the breadth of clinical endocrinology.
You will gain experience in a broad range of endocrine disorders, and be eligible for ABIM certification in adult endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

You will also work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams with faculty and fellows in obstetrics-gynecology, surgery, nuclear medicine, radiology, pathology, pediatric and reproductive endocrinology.
Broad Patient Volume and Case Mix
We provide inpatient and outpatient consultation services to a demographically diverse panel of patients with a wide range of endocrine diagnoses.
You will receive training in all aspects of endocrinology including: diabetes, metabolic bone disease, obesity, neuroendocrine tumors, endocrine emergencies, and disorders involving the thyroid, adrenal gland, lipids, calcium metabolism, fluid and electrolytes, male and female reproductive systems.
Baystate Medical Center is the only tertiary referral center in the region. With our large patient volume and faculty specialists in bone, thyroid, diabetes, and pediatric endocrinology, you will encounter unusual and interesting endocrine diseases.
Extensive Experience with Neck/Thyroid Ultrasound
Our programs offers extensive training in thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspiration (FNA) practice. Additionally, our fellows attend regular cytapathology and tumor board conferences.
