The Baystate Medical Center PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program strives to be a program that will address our pharmacy residents’ career goals and interest areas. We participate in the ASHP residency match and are fully accredited. We are affiliated with Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Western New England University College of Pharmacy.

Curriculum Summary

  • Core Required Rotations (4-6 Week Duration): Orientation, Adult Internal Medicine, Academia (January or February)
  • Longitudinal Learning Experiences (Sept-June): Inpatient Transitions of Care (Heart Failure and Adult Inpatient Internal Medicine), Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmacy Administration, Ambulatory Care, Anticoagulation Clinic, Staffing, Medication Safety, Research/Quality Improvement Project, Education/Academia (MCPHS-University)
