Applying to the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship

Interested physicians who have completed the necessary training to become ABIM board-eligible in Internal Medicine are encouraged to apply.

Application Process

  • All applicants must apply online through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).
  • Applicants must submit:
    • 3 letters of recommendation
    • 1 of the 3 LORs must be from the Director of your Internal Medicine Residency Program
    • USMLE scores
    • Personal Statement

Prior to matriculation to fellowship training at Baystate Medical Center, all incoming fellows are required to fulfill:

Because the fellowship program is highly competitive with many excellent candidates applying, we offer invitations to less than 10% of applicants.  Interview decisions are based on the ERAS application and USMLE scores for Steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you have not taken Step 3, please let us know when you plan to take it.

Completed applications will be reviewed and selected candidates will be notified by the Program that they have been invited for an interview. Interviews will be held late September through the end of October.

If you are not selected for an interview, you can expect to be notified of your status via email in September or early October.
