Baystate Health is committed to providing the communities it serves throughout Western MA with the resources necessary to stay informed and healthy by providing both basic and extensive educational opportunities.

 

Parent education: Courses for new parents covering topics like the birthing process, multiple births, pre- and post-natal yoga, breastfeeding, infant care, siblings and grandparents

 

CPR Classes: Heart Disease is still the #1 killer of this nation. Learn your risks, warning signs and CPR. Our programs offers an exciting variety of classes to both employees and our community.

 

Smoking Cessation Programs: Most smokers try to stop smoking 5 – 6 times before being successful. Join one of our successful programs and learn more about the challenges faced by those who wish to quit tobacco use.

 

Heartsaver First Aid Course: This is a perfect class for anyone to learn the simple procedures for treating basic emergencies, especially if you are the first upon the scene.

Mini-Medical School: Gives us the opportunity to open our doors to the public and share our knowledge of medicine. The goal of this program is to help members of the public make more informed decisions about all aspects of their health care.

 

Babysitting Academy: Babysitting training program for young adults ages 12 to 16 covers topics such as baby care, first aid, fire safety, home security, accident prevention, child behavior, & CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation).
